Sayle Oil recently held a focus group and taste testing at the Grenada Chamber of Commerce to help determine the perfect recipe for their new NOOKIES chicken, and to help select the final logo for advertising chicken sales in their retail C-Stores in Northern Mississippi.
Participants were chosen via social media and brought their appetites to the noon hour event, taste testing 3-4 different fried chicken batters. Tasters then provided feedback on which chicken batter was their absolute favorite! The voting was nearly unanimous with over 85% selecting the same delicious batter. The winner batter went on to be featured in select C-Stores in the Sayle Oil network.

UPDATE: NOOKIE'S Chicken now Available at Local C-Stores!
March 1st marked the roll out of NOOKIE'S Chicken at Sayle's Holcomb "NOOKIE'S" C-Store. The Holcomb store was the first in the retail network to feature the new chicken that was ultimately chosen by the public via taste testing back in February 2015.
Launching the new hot food item at Holcomb is especially sentimental to the organization as the store was branded "NOOKIE'S" in honor of Mr. Isaac E. Sayle, the original owner and General Manager of Sayle Oil, who founded the company back in 1947. 'NOOKIE' was a nickname and term of endearment for Mr. Sayle, known only by those close to him and his family. Seeing the 'NOOKIE'S' name come alive in the form of a successful brand and product brand is special for the family owned and operated business, who intends to grown the brand within their expanding retail network.
