Sayle Oil Company, in coordination with ExxonMobil, recently announced that it has made donations to 6 local Mississippi schools totaling $3,000. This financial contribution was made with support from ExxonMobil's Educational Alliance Program. This monetary donation will help enhance the math and science departments of the selected schools.
Last year, Sayle Oil began working with schools in their area to determine how the funds could best be used to advance their math and science programs. This year recipients included: North Delta, South Panola, and Pope Elementary in the Panola County area. Other schools in Mississippi included Kirk Academy, Charleston High School, and Richland High School.
In 2017, ExxonMobil's Educational Alliance Program awarded $1.8 million in grants to schools throughout the United Sates to help enhance math and science programs. Sayle Oil has been a part of the program since its inception in 2004.
Sayle Oil is a long-standing supporter of education programs throughout Mississippi. Commenting on the donations, Sayle Oil's Vice President Kevin Sayle noted, "Sayle Oil is committed to our local communities throughout Mississippi and education is a big part of that. We are proud to support ExxonMobil's program that seeks to improve the quality of our local schools."
